The story behind
Lanka Coffee

Sri Lanka, formerly known as Ceylon, is a vibrant island in South Asia. Coffee has been part of its history since the early 16th century, when it was introduced for culinary and ceremonial use. It wasn't until Dutch colonial rule in the 18th century that coffee began to be cultivated for consumption. By the end of the 19th century, Sri Lanka was one of the world's largest coffee producers, until tea production took over during British colonial rule, causing the coffee industry to decline. Lanka Coffee aims to revive Sri Lanka's rich coffee heritage and share the refined flavors of Sri Lankan coffee worldwide.

Bredere visie op maatschappelijke impact
What makes our coffee unique is that we focus not only on the product itself, but also on the positive change it brings. Our beans are grown sustainably, with respect for both nature and the people who work with them. Lanka Coffee stands for the belief that good coffee is not just a taste experience, but also a means to have a broader, lasting impact on society.
